More about Carnegie:
Carnegie is within a stone's throw of Caulfield Racecourse and five minutes from Chadstone Shopping Centre, making it an increasingly sought-after spot. The only school within the suburb's boundaries is Carnegie Primary School, but there are a number of other reputable schools in the wider area. Monash University's Caulfield campus is nearby, and as a result a mixture students and families residents the area. Carnegie Station is located on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines, and the journey to Flinders Street takes approximately twenty-five minutes. The route 67 tram terminates at Koornang Road in southern Carnegie on its way from the city. There are also four bus routes, including a handy NightRider service.
