MoneyQuest Named One of Australia’s Best Brokerages

MoneyQuest has been named as one of the top brokerages in Australia after securing a place in the top five of The Adviser’s Top 25 Brokerages ranking 2022.

The Top 25 Brokerages ranking has been revealed in the February 2022 edition of The Adviser, one of Australia’s top publications for Australian mortgage and finance brokers.

The Top 25 Brokerages ranking is based on figures from the 2021 financial year. The final ranking was determined by scores in six key areas: total book size, total loans selected in financial year 2021, total volume of loans settled in FY21, book size versus years in business, total number of brokers and average broker volumes for FY21 (i.e. volume numbers divided by actual number of brokers).

These six scores were then combined to give a final overall score. The lower the score, the better the ranking.

We are thrilled to announce that MoneyQuest has been recognised as one of the country’s top mortgage brokerages this year, ranking 5th overall.

Annie Kane, editor of The Adviser, said: “The Adviser is proud to celebrate the success of the Top 25 Brokerages in Australia.”

“After a record year for mortgage activity in the financial year 2021 – and loan levels continuing to smash records -, this year’s Top 25 Brokerages ranking demonstrates just how busy brokers have been. It’s impressive to see how total volumes written and broker productivity has skyrocketed on previous rankings.”

“The stats reflect a broader industry trend: brokers are writing record levels of home loans.”

The editor of The Adviser added that it was “notable” that all of the top five brokerages in the ranking went through some kind of merger or acquisition last year, and flagged that some of the brokerage brands in the ranking would be featuring for the last time, as a result.

“The mortgage and finance broking industry continues to grow and evolve, with large groups and brands merging to form ‘super groups’ and external players looking to acquire these hugely successful brokerages,” Ms. Kane continued.

“On behalf of The Adviser, I’d like to congratulate MoneyQuest on their achievement, and to all of the brokerages who made it into the Top 25 Brokerages ranking this year.”

MoneyQuest managing director Michael Russell was delighted by the accolade, attributing the brokerage’s success to its talented network of brokers, its dedicated head office staff, and the company’s heavy investment in technology.

“First and foremost, [our success can be attributed to] our people, and secondly, our heavy investment in technology. I am blessed to be working alongside a team of people who are not only experts in their fields, but are also incredibly passionate about doing everything they can to support the growth of our franchise owners’ businesses. To add to this, our client communications technology is best in class and is now delivering repeat and referral business well beyond industry expectations.”

Mr. Russell also revealed MoneyQuest’s main points of focus for the next six months.

“Our primary focus will be continuing to leverage the strong market conditions to support the organic growth within our franchise businesses. Our secondary focus will be to roll out the new products within our MoneyQuest Home Loans brand including our Alt Doc Construction Loan.”
