Most discounted suburbs in Australia

You may have to dig a little deeper and do a bit more legwork to find them, but properties selling at a discount are more common than you think. Even in areas where prices are surging rapidly.

Case in point, Stanmore in Sydney’s inner west, where units are selling 15% below their listed price according to the latest stats from CoreLogic RP Data.

Vendors in the satellite city of Gosford have also been willing to discount their houses by 28% on average while units in Melbourne suburb of Rowville are also seeing hefty price reduction by 23% from the listing price.

Premium properties are also attracting large discounts by as much as 18% to attract buyers.
